Artist’s Statement: I made close-up photographs of sticky and sugary messes. The work is a deep dive into consumerism and consumption, brimming with the contradictory forces of attraction and repulsion.

ASHLEY MILLER works with photography, found objects, and installation. Born in Syria and raised on Guam, she studied art at the Evergreen State College and University of New Mexico. Her work has been exhibited across the United States, including at Blue Sky Gallery (Portland, OR), Axle Contemporary (Santa Fe, NM), and Candela Gallery (Richmond, VA).
