This collection of work includes three sheets of stamps that I print, perforate, and then attach to envelopes in the hope of having them cancelled and delivered.

MICHAEL THOMPSON is a Chicago-based artist who works in a variety of mediums including painting, collage, kinetic sculpture, memory jugs, and postage stamps. The postage stamps have caused him some trouble over the years, including his detention and deportation from China. A Freedom of Information Request provided a file of more than 200 pages compiled by the USPS on his philatelic activities.
