These two photos are from a periodic series exploring the idea of “twin towers” and the architectural impact these otherwise unremarkable buildings have because of their twinning. The repetition of a single design creates a geometric abstraction in real space and the framing of these photos intentionally adds to this sense of abstraction.

TRAVIS STANSEL is a photographer, writer and radio producer living in Champaign, Illinois. He has degrees in journalism and architecture and has a strong fascination with the built environment. As a Gen-Xer, he is too old to be a digital native, but credits the proliferation of digitalia for reawakening his love of photography.
